So I was in the ER last night, and I don't know when I'll be able to go back to school yet. My website is complete, and I hope all of you enjoyed it. (btw: this would happen to me)

I wasn't in school again today because of my placement test for college. But I still got a lot done. I finished the Sleeping Beauty page, and added the rest of the comparisons and visuals. I also added more fun information to my "fun facts/sites" tab. If you're interested in art I suggest you check it out there's a lot of neat stuff.

In completing this project, I felt like I needed to add more of a voice to my pages instead of just facts. So I added some snide, clever remarks in italics to some of the facts for each story. I felt they might make you snicker. Enjoy!

I wasn't in school today, but I got a lot done at home. I have almost all of my visuals complete, and I only have to perfect my Sleeping Beauty page.

I've been trying to find fun sites for you guys, and I succeeded with one of them... Free Disney Movies Online? Enjoy :P

It's almost time for the new Grimm! If you haven't watched this t.v. show I suggest you do so now, and start from season one.

So The Little Mermaid will not be included on my website because I forgot it was written by Hans Christian Anderson... Woopsie Daisies. So I either need another story, or I'm going to expand my "Fun Sites" tab. Almost done with Cinderella!

I'm a little behind track when it come to finishing my website, but I plan on working on it tonight. Today during school I finished the Snow White portion, and added a YouTube video that addresses sexism in Disney movies. I just thought that was a fun bit of knowledge.

I found most of my facts for Snow White today. And some of the things are a lot different from what I remember. Two more to go... And I don't know what to write for my intro.

I also haven't been doing my bibliography as we've been working, but OHWELL.

Today I had a plan to finish my Intro, and the summary about the Grimm Brothers. Well... I got one done! But I did add a little extra for you guys. I added my last tab, which is called "Fun Sites." I plan on adding other interesting facts about Disney or the Grimm Brothers. There's already a couple of things there, so feel free to look. One of the websites actually reads fairy tales to you so I thought that was cool.

Tomorrow I should have one of the princess comparisons complete.

Fairy tales have interested my sister and I ever since we were little. We watched Disney movies religiously as well, and it wasn't until I was a young adult that I realized my entire childhood was based on lies. I like the contrast between Disney and the Grimm Brothers because it's so extreme. What kind of guy takes bloody, horrifying fairy tales and makes them kid friendly? There's a way to do it because it certainly got passed my head when I was little. But once you learn the truth behind all the fairy tales it makes you wonder why Disney chose the stories he did.

I wanted to create this website to inform people of the vast differences if they were not aware of them already. I did not get a lot done today, but the research I found seems to be sending me in the right direction. I'm thinking about creating a couple tabs to contrast three popular Disney/Grimm classics (Sleeping Beauty, The Little Mermaid, and Snow White) then leaving the rest up to you guys to research yourselves. But don't worry I'll leave links, and videos to make your life easier.

Spoiler Alert: In Cinderella, the step sister's eyes are pecked out by pigeons, and they live as blind beggars for the rest of their lives.
